A 14 -year -old athlete broke two records held by Swindon Harriers.
Jesse Bryant ran the 800m with a time of two minutes 00.07 seconds, breaking the previous record held by Al Virgilio, and the 1500m in 4: 07.46, breaking the recent record of Finley Byrne.

Bryant made waves at the record meeting of British Milers at Tooting Bec, cutting 1.5 seconds from his best previous one, produced at the English school championships in July.
Although he is not below his goal of going within two minutes in the 800m, a disappointed gyant remains determined to train for another 800m, aimed at breaking the two -minute barrier.

“I really wanted to spend minutes in two minutes because it was my goal for the season, so it was disappointing to be only seven hundredths,” admitted the 14 -year -old.

“I had a strong race in Guildford, then I went to Tooting for a massive meeting.”
Bryant, who now ranks fourth in the UK U15 ranking for the 1500m and the eighth for the 800m, is not the only Harrier to make waves.
Lucy Morrison was the best personal form on the roads, blocking 17 minutes 52 seconds in the 5K summer series of Westbury and 36 minutes 40 seconds in the local lightning bolt 10k.
