Northallerton RUFC benefits from a summer summer with tournaments and cricket

With pre-season training already underway for the senior male and female teams of Northallerton Rugby Union Football Club, it’s a good time to come back to what club members did during the summer holidays.

A culmination was the annual NRUFC Touch rugby tournament, which now covers six weeks and includes 15 teams from the whole North Yorkshire.

The tournament, which is a must in the local sports calendar, has experienced increased participation this year, offering young players the opportunity to develop alongside social teams.

The most serious contenders fought for the title, the price of the price and the royalty rights.

The Brungby Broncos retained their title last year.

Elsewhere, the women’s team impatiently participated in pre-season training under the coach Robbo and entered a team from the Ripon Rufc 7S tournament in early July.

They faced local teams, Ripon and Wensleydale, alongside the tour teams, the Viper 7S and the fifth terms.

In their opening match against the hosts, Ripon Bluebelles, Northallerton Ladies won a 5-43 victory, with Ali O’Brien, Trinity Earnshaw, Amy Parker and Emma Lawson trials.

The second game against the experienced Viper 7 saw Northallerton defending himself against an implacable attack on attack game.

Despite a solo test of O’Brien, the match finished 7-52 in favor of the Verses.

Their latest group match against Wensleydale RUFC was a closely combated competition, with a final score of 7-14 in Northalon, thanks to a decisive test by Gina Fothergill.

The semi -finals against the fifth dirtys ended with a Northallerton 0 – Fifthy Fifths 41 score.

Despite the defeat, the team really appreciated its day and represented the club with pride.

The team expressed its gratitude to Ripon for accommodation and all the supporters who encouraged them.

The club also participated in the cricket during the summer, the NRUFCC offering club members a way to remain connected during the sociable matches on Thursday evening.

With renovations to Brompton Lodge, the team played all of their ten league games far from their home for the second season.

Their performance experienced an improvement with an entire match won and several scores closely.

Now the emphasis is back on the next rugby season, with a well-season training in progress.

The first XV of the ladies was promoted to NC2 and the first XV of men will again participate in the Yorkshire 2.

The club wishes to build fitness levels for the next tests.

The formation of men’s teams is as always on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 p.m., the ladies train on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and the juniors play Sunday at 10 a.m.
