Sophie Ecclestone, Linsey Smith and Charlie Dean are joined by Sarah Glenn, the leg spinner, which has missed the recent series against India, but is now ready for its first 50 versions.
Glenn has effectively replaced the cross, Edwards deciding that it can manage with a reduced number of quick quantities.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge is also back after losing his place when setting up an international day after a humiliating defeat of 16-0 points last year against Australia in multi-format ashes, while Maia Bouchier and Alice Davidson-Richards missed.

“The conditions mean that we have opted for the additional spinner and we are lucky to have such depth in this department, it is fantastic to welcome Sarah Glenn,” said Edwards, who replaced the dismissed Jon Lewis earlier this year after the embarrassment of the ashes.
“This means that there is no room for Kate Cross, Maia Bouchier or Alice Davidson-Richards, which will be disappointing.”
The former captain of England Edwards, one of the exceptional female buttress cricket players of his generation, added: “It is also great to have danni in the team. She was in good shape in the domestic cricket and she will bring dynamism and depth to our striker, alongside Heather, that we are absolutely delighted to be able to select.” She will be a huge active. “
England has underreveled during the T20 World Cup of last year and it is now eight years since they won the ODI equivalent for the last time on home.

“Like all world tournaments, it will be a huge challenge, but we want to go as far as possible in India and Sri Lanka and I believe that if we play our best cricket, we can compete with anyone,” said a floating Edwards.
“As a group, we have a huge opportunity to go doing something special.”
